FDP Election Campaign Saxony-Anhalt

Out of Home: Vacancy Billboards

Winter 2016. Election time in Saxony-Anhalt. One of the economic depressed German federal states. The government’s economic policy has caused the demise of small businesses. The Liberal Democrats wanted to change this situation. The challenge: they didn’t have the media budget to compete with the bigger political parties. We turned this problem into ad space. Windows of abandoned shops became a direct medium of choice. They were now activating people to do something against ever-growing vacancies in high streets.
With a very small budget, the Free Democrats raised their votes by 28% compared to the 2011 local elections.
